“The Jennie S Gordon Memorial Foundation Trustees believe it is important that aspiring young solo pianists are given a public forum to display their talents alongside their peers from across the world, hopefully leading to a successful career. Should they reach the final, they have the opportunity to perform a concerto with the world-class Royal Scottish National Orchestra. The Competition also enhances Scotland’s musical standing internationally, and its location in Glasgow contributed to the city achieving the accolade of UNESCO City of Music.”
