The Eighth

Scottish International Youth Piano Competition

will be held on 24th July 2026

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) will hold their annual Piano Summer School from 20th – 24th July 2026.

In conjunction with the RCS, we are delighted to present the Eighth Scottish International Youth Piano Competition, showcasing young pianists of exceptional potential from around the world.

All students aged 12–17 attending the RCS’s Piano Summer School have the opportunity to participate in the competition. A non-public semifinal round will be held during the course, where pianists will perform a selection of pieces chosen by the panel from their programme.

The final round, where participants perform their complete programme, will take place on 24th July 2026. The prize winners will be selected by a distinguished jury, chaired by the RCS’s Head of Keyboard, Professor Fali Pavri.

The course is designed to give young pianists the chance to experience an intensive week of study in a conservatoire environment. For full details on the RCS’s Piano Summer School please click here.
